Visiting Grandpa Walter and having fun at Oak Run!!

We had so much fun at Oak Run. Savannah's first time at a beach and and first time for Fireworks!! We had lunch and supper out there and when you are with family.....it just makes a beautiful day more wonderful. Uncle Jimmy kept the girl entertained in the lake with one of the cousins' floating turtle. They just had a ball! It was also very nice to have Billy with us. It was great to have him around again!! Savannah loved the fireworks!! But as you can tell from the picture below the girls were getting tired during the fireworks.........

We had such a good time visiting Grandpa Walter at Washington Christian Village. It is so humbling when you find out that everyone's life is so similar. I do believe Walter was chosen as Sierra's Adopted Grandpa not just by accident but by God. I am so thankful to have met him yesterday. We had a great conversation because Sierra became shy because I was there. We have asked if Walter would like to come for a cook out sometime and he was so excited. So when the temps go down we are going to have him over. I think it will be so much fun!!

Another fun day!!!

We went to my sister Dawn's house for lunch and then we walked over to the Ice Cream shop to have ice cream. The girls had so much fun.........I even tasted the lemon ice cream and I did order a small.....trying to get a hold of this eating issue I have been battling. Then Uncle Jimmy got home and took the girls on a ride on Dawn Hove-a-round. They were having a ball. When we got home the girls played in their new pool. They were so excited and just laughed and screamed. Also Billy got his first appliance today. He wanted a place to put his soda and so a friend of Mike's was selling one and so Billy bought it. I am so proud of him!!

A first time fishing trip for Sierra and Savannah!!

The girls had so much fun fishing with their Uncle Jimmy and Aunt Dawn!! They even got to spend it with their cousins Nadia, Alec, and Cade. They want to go again and so we are planning a camping trip where they can enjoy not only camping but fishing!!

Savannah's Firsts...

When adopting an older child many think you miss out on all the first times..like walking, talking...and yes but there are many more that you get to share with your child. The first time she swims on her own, the first time she had a fire and made smores. Both she loved so much fun!! It is amazing to watch the twinkle in her eyes when she does something for the very first time. Would not trade it for anything!!
